TLC is renewing Cake Boss: Next Great Baker hosted by Buddy Valastro for a second season set to premiere later this year. The first season 90-minute finale airs tonight at 9p followed by a new season launch of 19 Kids and Counting at 1030p.
At CBS, the network ordered a cop drama pilot stemming from collaboration between Robert DeNiro and crime writer Richard Price about six NYC rookie cops who are learning the job while trying to lead normal lives. Tribeca Productions will produce the projected titled Rookies with DeNiro and his partner Jane Rosenthal as executive producers. CBS Television Studios is producing.
