T-Mobile has been in the news recently, as the company's been conducting several merger talks. Between Sprint and AT&T, it seems the lucky winner is the latter, paying $39 billion to acquire them. WOW. That's a lot of money.
With the merger AT&T commits to a large expansion of their 4G network, a technology currently being used by Verizon, and gains the current 46.5 customers currently using T-Mobile. This merger would secure AT&T as the dominant wireless carrier in the U.S. with 127 million subscribers, compared to the 94 million that Verizon has.
