American Idol 8 - Top 11 Sends One Home

I love how the top 11 performances had Scott McIntyre at the piano! Ha!
As they did last week, FOX gave us a glimpse into the lives of the contestants by taking us backstage to say goodbye to Jorge and Jasmine.

Aw, Michael Sarvers! He's cutsie wootsie with his kids!

Danny Gokey is SAFE. Obvi.
Lil Rounds is SAFE. Duh. But, Marissa says, "You need to chill, Lil'"
Anoop Desai is SAFE!!!! Wahooo!! JAI-HO.
Alison and Michael stand. One of them is in the bottom and I predict Michael. Wow, I'm wrong. It's Alison. No, I'm not - It's also Michael! What a whirling dervish of information.

Scott McIntyre is safe and I'm appalled. It's sort of like you know who is safe at first, since they're not going to tell the first person (in this case Blindy) that they are in the bottom.

Freakishly hot Megan Joy is safe. So is Matt Giraud. Who, by the way, should procreate with Megan Joy. They would be a good couple. Kris Allen is next to be safe and we're down to the final two left: Alexis and Adam. When asked who he thought would be in the bottom, Randy mistakenly says Allison, when her name is actually Alexis. Whoopsies.

Wait, why does Randy Travis look hella weird when he sings?? Carrie Underwood is sooo good!

Here we are: MICHAEL IS SAFE AND I'M REALLY SURPRISED. Alexis is SUCH a good singer. I'm really very surprised. The thing is, she has a pretty attitude. As a result of the judges saying "It all depends on this," she's really overperforming. She's trying way too hard and it's not a good performance at all. Truthfully, she's good - but so are a lot of the contestants and there will be furthur chances to save someone. I would be okay with her staying or going because she truly has talent, but she wouldn't be the next American Idol.

And she goes home. Aight.
