For the sake of my West Coast friends and fans, I didn't post anything last night about American Idol. If you haven't yet heard the news, KRIS ALLEN was the winner!I called it - and I also should be a talking head, because some of the things that "experts" were saying on The Today Show this AM were things that I've been saying all along.
This is definitely a blessing in disguise for Adam - who will 100% be a STAR because he's an amazing singer -- but this is definitely the right path for Kris.
Additionally, America proved that they don't like being told their votes don't count. Media had pinned Adam as the winner, with Entertainment Weekly even featuring him on the cover last week. America was like "Oh hell to the no-o!"
Kris was very modest in his glory, saying that Adam deserves this. I don't disagree - but like I said, Adam will be just fine - probably even better.
I will be back with more thoughts on the rest of the show, including Kara D's SICK body and her show-up against Bikini Girl, who is now sporting a small C cup.
Congrats again to Kris Allen and Adam Lambert!
Everything you've written is correct, but I am still saddened. Seriously, American is ready for a black President, but not for a real artist. Kris, is very cute, sweet, and talented, but not a star- not one in a million. He was embarrassed and I was too. The show as a whole was so impressive. I would usually fast forward, but I they got some great groups to sign on and there were some real funny moments including the breakdown of the judges and of course Kara who was INCREDIBLE!!
