You know who pisses me off? People who don't say goodbye when they hang up the phone, as if they think the conversation is over before it's actually over.  Like, I don't get it.  The other day I was meeting a friend of mine and I was running a little late.  I called her to let her know.  Here's how it went down:

Zlata: Hey Friend, just wanted to let you know that I'm getting out of work now and will be there in about 20 minutes.

Friend: Ok, thanks for the call! See you soon!

Zlata: Cool, so are we meeting at the one uptown or downtown, we actually never established that?

Zlata: Hello? Hello???

<<>>

Friend:  Hello?

Zlata: Hey, you hung up before I had a chance to find out if you were uptown or downtown.

Friend: Oh, I'm downtown. Can't wait to see you!!!

Zlata: I know, I'm pumped! Ok, finishing up here and be there shortly.

Zlata: I mean, are you KIDDING me???

This also brings me a random thought:  Not many people use landlines nowadays. Most communication is done though emails, AIM, GChat, texts, BBM, Facebook, Twitter and the occasional cell phone conversation. (Please, you people don't TALK on the phone anymore... Once they figure out how you can use your iPhone to wipe your asses, the sidewalks will be emptier than Octomom's uterus after carrying for nine months.) In any event, isn't it weird how we don't really hear dial tones anymore? Like when you were in 8th grade and didn't know whether or not to call Crush; you just sat there with the phone on your ear, listening to the dial tone, trying to get enough courage to call and ask what Mr. Van Soest's homework was that night.  Or, when you and your friend would have a rager over the phone and she ended up hanging up on you, leaving you staring at the phone in disbelief with the dial tone sound in the background.  Now, with cell phones, you just hear nada.  And that's all I have to say about that.

ONE MORE THING...The Verizon commercial with the ice cream sprinkles is amazing.  I laugh every time I see it!  (I just googled it, but there's no video!)
