So I've discovered something new! BlueRetreiver! If you haven't heard of it yet, you might want to check it out. Essentially, it's a web based mobile device retrieval system - and it's TOTALLY free!
Step One: Sign up for BlueRetriever. They create a wallpaper for your phone that has a unique ID number on it and email the picture to you
Step Two: Assign that wallpaper as your phone's main wallpaper. Sure, it's not as cool as the picture of your dog, but do you want to lose that picture forever if your phone gets lost??
INSTEAD: If you're good with technology and understand Paintbrush on Windows, it's not that hard to JAZZ IT UP or Make Your Own -- most important thing are those ID numbers. So, even if you make a sticker out of it and put it on your phone as the contact information for when your phone locks -- you're all set!
If you happen to lose your phone, whoever finds it can go to BlueRetriever.com and get in touch with you through the system's anonymous messaging system. It also provides a way for you to offer a reward to the finder for their good deed.
I mean...WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS?
