TV TimeZ and Casting CallZ

The CW will premiere new series, Life Unexpected, January 18, replacing Gossip Girl in the short-term to retain original episodes on Monday nights. Following the Life Unexpected run, Gossip Girl will be back for 12 more episodes.

Food Network typically showcases the world’s best chefs and cooks, though in the network’s upcoming new series, Worst Cooks in America, the opposite will be true. Food Network debuts the new series January 3rd at 10pm where 12 cooks, deemed the worst in the country, will be split into two teams training with either Chef Anne Burrell, host of Food Network’s Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, or Chef Beau MacMillan, executive chef at elements restaurant in Phoenix. Each team is trained in various culinary skills then tested in a series of high-level challenges. The recruits will be eliminated each week until two are left to face the final challenge. The winning contestant, revealed during the finale on February 1st at 9pm, receives $25,000 and upholds the professional chefs’ reputation.

truTV takes on football in the new series NFL Full Contact, premiering February 8th at 10pm. The upcoming series will take fans behind the scenes of professional football, from draft day to the Super Bowl and gives exclusive access to the action off the field including key people and their jobs involved with the NFL.

Donald J. Trump is teaming with TV One on a new eight-episode reality series, Omarosa’s Ultimate Merger featuring TV reality diva, Omarosa (The Apprentice) and her quest to find a new love. Omarosa will test and challenge 12 good-looking and successful bachelors who all possess as much attitude as Omarosa. Omarosa’s Ultimate Merger will be filmed at Trump International Hotel and Tower: Las Vegas.

Casting Call: Beauty company Living Proof is seeking an intelligent, passionate and enthusiastic Spokesperson to represent the company via television, online and through live in-store appearances and public relations. Living Proof will consider attractive men and women who have charismatic personalities and who are excellent communicators, quick thinkers and possess a sense of humor and a love of beauty products. Sales skills are a plus in addition to on-camera experience. The job requires regular travel to Boston and Philadelphia; candidates should be located in the Northeast area or willing to relocate.
