New Jersey Father Kills Both of His Children Before Killing Himself

In completely normal news, a Pompton Lakes, NJ dad shot and killed his two kids and then himself at his mother’s home in Ringwood, NJ last night.  Kurtis Birth, 38, killed his 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son.  Both children were found dead in separate areas of the property with a single gun shot wound to the head, while the cowardly father was found dead in his car.

Kurtis and his wife were married – there was no restraining order – nothing that would indicate such a vicious crime could be committed.  Wife Zoey Mendoza-Birth called the police at 7:56pm last night to ask officers to check on her family because the father took the children from day care.  (Police won’t say anything more about why the mother was worried, since there’s an ongoing investigation.)

Like I said, completely normal.
