TLC is whipping up a new series featuring Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro as he searches for the next rising baker in the new eight-week elimination competition series Cake Boss: Next Great Baker. The series premieres December 6 at 9p and follows ten skilled pastry chefs as they are put through the baking paces each week. The winner receives $50,000 and the opportunity to work with Valastro at Carlo's Bakery. High Noon Entertainment produces Next Great Baker for TLC.

Tika Sumpter (One Life to Live) landed a recurring role on The CW's Gossip Girl, playing Raina, the brainy daughter of Russell Thorpe (Michael Boatman), a powerful business tycoon and former associate of Chuck's father, Bart. Sumpter will first appear on the series in early 2011.
