Comedian and writer, Andy Samberg named as the first-ever Chief Shark Officer (CSO) for Discovery Channel's 24th annual summer Shark Week programming event. Throughout the week, Samberg will film on-air wraps and host a special. Samberg is currently in his sixth season as a cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live. In 2010, Shark Week attracted the most viewers to date with nearly 31 million people.
A new foodie reality series is in the works for VH1 titled Famous Food featuring seven celebrities who are handed the opportunity to launch a West Hollywood restaurant. The celebrities involved are Heidi Montag, Danielle Staub, Jake Pavelka, DJ Paul, Juicy "J", Ashley Dupre andVincent Pastore and together they will renovate the location, create the menu and more. VH1 gave the project ten episodes with a planned fall premiere.
