Twitter announces a complete overhaul to both its website and apps. According to co-founder Jack Dorsey and CEO Dick Costolo, the redesign will make the user experience simpler and faster. The sleek new visual design includes the shifting of a user's main Twitter feed to the right of the screen and navigation bar to the left. The top bar now separates into four main tabs: HOME (main timeline); CONNECT (mentions and ReTweets from others); DISCOVER (new Twitter-designed function that features current trends and user-specific news); and on the right side, general user profile-related items.
