Drinking and Driving

I have a question for filmmakers - directors specifically. Why is it that every single scene where they try to make a point about drinking and driving (and it ending badly), it goes a little something like this:
Victim: Usually a female ranging from the age of 18-35. Varies between a popular girl at school (be it high school or college) and a young mother (children in car optional.) Female is listening to a soft ballad, singing along in a way that's easy on the ears. Instantly, you are attracted emotionally to this woman and hope for the best, even though you know her impending catosrophe is undeniable.
Culprit: Usually male, ranging from the age of 17-30. Reputation is inconsequential. Male is listening to headbanging music, paralleling the heavy metal moves of those credited with making it a genre.
I mean, am I right or am I right? Why is that always the scene? Why isn't the culprit a an 80-year-old great-grandmother rocking out on her way home from drinking with her bridge partners at Chippendale's? Oh, you don't think such an 80-year-old exists? Come over for Thanksgiving dinner one year.
