American Idol 8 - Second Round

Sorry for the delay - but here I am - time to give you my thoughts on Idol. I know that you already know the results, but I don't, so I'm going to still give my initial opinions.

Jazmine Murray sings Love Song - It was not good in my opinion. I love the song, but it was really whiny. Plus, she's a little hard to look at.

Matt Giraud is next. This "dueling piano player" performs Viva La Vida and rushes through it a little bit. I love this song a lot and I don't think it's the wrong choice by any means, but I don't think he does a really good job. He's literally rushing like he has to go drop a duece. He looks like a brunette Justin Timberlake, which I'm into a little bit. Nonetheless, not really into you.

Jeanine Vailes sings This Love by Maroon Five. Loved her wipeout -- why didn't we meet her during the auditions? OMG she is AWFUL. Is this a boy or a girl?? I'm serious. I'm bugging out. I'm literally fast forwarding. I love Simon - he tells it like it is. The girl/boy really does have nice legs.

Norman Gentle/Nick Mitchell - I have mixed emotions about him. He created a character and does a good job at him - BUT, I feel like he's a really good looking guy and should just be who he IS, not this different dude. He sings the song from DreamGirls. His parents look mortified and he's not really doing a good job singing, unfortunately. I feel like he's not real. He's making a mockery of American Idol. It's like, he knows he's never going to be the next American Idol and wants to go out with a bang. His last note is phenomenal! Let's see what the judges have to say. Simon hates it obviously and he and Normal battle it out a little bit. It's true what Kara says, not about the same shirt, but that you're REMEMBER this guy. He should be friends with Ian Bernardo. Allison Iraheta sings Alone by Heart. I LOVE THIS SONG more than you know. Some parts were iffy in the beginning, but then she comes out with this rage and I'm really into it. But I don't know if that's because I like the song -- so apparently, it's a good song choice. Let's see what the judges say: They like her! Next up: Change the hair color, hair style and get rid of your braces.

Dear Kris Allen, why is this the first time I'm seeing you? This isn't fair - he wasn't in the auditions at all and had zero face time. I really believe this puts him at a disadvantage. I REALLY like him!! He's a cutie patoootie!! Not so into the song, but obviously you can tell he can sing well. Um, Kara - don't talk to us about Hollywood week and how he was better there because WE DIDN'T SEE HIM. Next.

Megan Corkrey - I LOVE this girl. She's pretty, she's awesome. LOVE the song. Since I read Paul Chiaramonte's FB status update, I know she doesn't make it -- so now I'm goign to rage, I'm sure. Actually, she's not performing this that well. I don't really feel any passion behind her voice except for towards the end. She's gorgeous though. Paula, relax. You really need more meds. Or different meds. When Simon tells other ladies that he thinks they're gorgeous, I get a little jealous. Is that weird?

Matt Breitzke reminds me of Seth Broman. Don't know who he is? Your problem. Anyway, I love this song. I think he sings it really well and I love this guy. What a teddy bear!!! Real time: I just sang along with him - but only because my roommates aren't home. He has a fabulous voice. I predict he makes it through.

Jesse Langseth - who are you? You are whining. I don't know who you are. I'm annoyed and fast forwarding you. Like, I don't even give a shit what the judges say.

Kai Kalama - YOU ARE WEIRD. Oddly, you sound just like the original singer, but I'm not really into you. at.all. I'm curious to see what the judges say. I agree with Kara saying the song is old fashioned. I can't get over how she looks like Blair Waldorff and Kat McPhee. Also, I've decided that Paula's bangs are that long so we won't be able to notice her eyelids drooping.

Mishavonna Henson - You're a little hard to look at, but you are good. I think you'll make it through if America knows what's up.

Adam Labert - You are the best. Period. But I can't figure you out. You're through. My prediction.


SECOND SHOW

I'm fast forwarding through this because I have company coming and need to like do things. So, I'm only going to comment on the results, and not anything between. I stopped and listened to Brooke White since I peed next to her when she visited Ketchum. I mean, that constitues a bond, no? She's so skinny and pretty in person and smells fantastic!!

Ok Nick and Adam battle it out. I can't beleive they pinned these two against each other. Adam has to make it, I mean he's clearly better. Bye Nick!!!
So who is on the first two stools? Redhead and Cutie Patootie. I'M INTO IT!!!!
