Snooze-nation Station

Sometimes when I'm riding the subway or Path train really early in the morning or later on in the evening, I come across a special breed of people. These people have the ability to fall asleep anywhere, as one would gather.

I gotta tell you, these people make me a little nerv. Mainly, its because I worry they will not wake up in time to get off at their desired stop. I toy with the idea of waking them up before realizing that's completely ridiculous and none of my business.

Mainly, its the Path train people I'm concerned about. I mean, when we get back into Hoboken, it's the end of the road. If you just keep sleeping, you'll just end up back in New York City, ya know??

Liiiiiike, would you wake someone up?

  1. I am also obsessed with sleeping people and worrying about them missing their stop, and have gone so far as to poke someone to wake them up because I would want them to do the same for me. There was one time during college when I was taking the train into the city at an ungodly early hour and I ended up sitting next to a Japanese businessman who told me my cell phone was pretty. I ended up dozing off unintentionally and was woken up by one of the last passengers to leave the train after we got into Penn. The Japanese businessman totally ditched me! I will never forgive him for that.
