TV TimeZ: Bye Bye Oprah!

BIG NEWSSSSSSSSS
Oprah Winfrey will break her silence today about the fate of her syndicated daytime talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, confirmed a spokeswoman from Harpo Productions Inc. Winfrey will make the announcement during a live segment on her show and is expected to tell viewers her show will end its syndication run as the 25th season concludes on September 9, 2011. Winfrey's plans beyond her talk show are unclear, though her new cable network, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, a joint venture between Harpo Productions and Discovery Communications will likely launch next year, though Discovery has not declared a specific premiere date.

ABC will premiere the sixth and final season of Lost on February 2, 2010 with a two-hour episode at 9p. Prior to the season opener, ABC will air a one-hour Lost recap special at 8p. ABC also will lock Lost into a new time period for the season on Tuesdays at 9p.

Bravo is sticking with the matchmaking business, serving up a third season of its docu-series The Millionaire Matchmaker starting January 19 at 10p. In the new season, matchmaker Patti Stanger finds herself engaged as she continues creating perfect matches for her wealthy clients. The Millionaire Matchmaker is produced for Bravo by Intuitive Entertainment and Bayonne Entertainment.
