TV TimeZ and Casting CallZ

After 54 years, CBS canceled the long-running daytime drama As the World Turns. The soap will air its final episode in September 2010. CBS will likely replace ATWT's daytime time slot with a talk show or a game show. During its storied 54-year history and 13,000+ episodes, ATWT won 58 Daytime Emmy awards and also launched the careers of such notable actors as Dana Delaney, James Earl Jones, Parker Posey, Meg Ryan and Marisa Tomei. ATWT, created by Irna Phillips, premiered on April 2, 1956 as a half-hour soap, expanding to a full hour in 1975.
Dear CBS, I WILL TOTALLY ROCK MY OWN TALK SHOW -- CALL ME!!!

On yesterday's Live! With Regis & Kelly, former Today show anchor Bryant Gumbel said he is battling lung cancer and will undergo treatments for the disease. This follows surgery last month where Gumbel had a tumor removed from his chest. Gumbel indicated he is "okay for the time being."

A fourth season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians premieres on E! this Sunday at 10pm.
