TV TimeZ and Casting CallZ

CBS okayed a comedy pilot called True Love. The plot is about four 20-something friends looking for love in New York City.

FOX gave a nod to move forward on Shawn Ryan's one-hour drama pilot Ridealong. Earlier in 2009, FOX gave the project a put pilot order for the Chicago-based cop show centered on three groups of police officers from beat cops to the female chief of police.

ABC also picked up two more multi-camera comedy projects from Sony TV and studio-based Tantamount. The first, stars Carlos Mencia in a family comedy about Mencia's life and stand-up act; The other project features Cedric the Entertainer where he is a retired baseball player turned radio host whose son and young granddaughter rejoin his life.

HBO handed a pilot order for a horse-racing drama titled Luck. The project goes inside the world of horse racing and gambling through the eyes of a variety of people associated with a racetrack.

Casting Call: A major cable network is now casting for a new show called The Good Life. If you or someone you know lives like a princess, surrounded by luxury cars, designer clothes and expensive jewelry, the producers would like to hear from you. Females at least 21 years old who live extravagant, over-the-top lifestyles are encouraged to apply.
