Digi-TimeZ and TV TimeZ and Casting CallZ, OH MY!

As location-based services like Foursquare steal the spotlight, Twitter unveiled a new tool giving users the option of revealing their locations while they Tweet. The feature is initially being offered to U.S. users with plans to expand it to other countries in the future. Click here to learn how to turn the option on.

Paris-based Zimbalam is a new digital music distribution service that provides artists with streamlined access, tracking tools and marketing widgets to 25 of the top online music outlets including iTunes and Spotify. Artists pay a flat $30 annual fee for the first year ($20 thereafter) but get to keep 100% of the proceeds generated from music sales.

Food Network host and restaurateur, Chef Bobby Flay will be part of NBC's new cooking competition series America's Next Great Restaurant (formerly titled United Plates of America). Flay, one of five top restaurant leaders to be selected, will be an investor, judge and mentor on the show. Magical Elves is behind the series which is likely to premiere next season. In the series, contestants with restaurant concepts will battle to see which one will get the chance to launch a new chain.
