The series gives viewers a never-before-seen look at how a traveling big-top show operates. Circus will additionally have an interactive website and social media component to further examine what it is like to be a circus performer and offer consumers history about the circus in America.

DJ Kid Capri will oversee the judges' booth and hip-hop artist Biz Markie will make several guest appearances to work with the DJs throughout the season.
