ABC cancelled the second new series of the 2010-2011 television season as My Generation was removed from the schedule late last week. The drama featuring an ensemble cast of young people who attended the same suburban high school, tallied 5.17 million total viewers during premiere week then declined to 3.82 million for last Thursday's broadcast. ABC has halted production on future episodes and there is no word on how ABC will fill My Generation's time slot.

CNN announced it let anchor Rick Sanchez go on Friday after Sanchez said incendiary remarks about Jews and specifically Jon Stewart, host of Comedy Central's Daily Show. Sanchez made these comments on Pete Dominick's SiriusXM radio show on Thursday. CNN will rebroadcast CNN Newsroom in Sanchez's 3-5p time period until further notice. CNN also released this statement: "Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well."
