Italian police just seized 2,200 pounds (over a ton) of pure cocaine (worth about $340 million) that was entering the country in a shipping container carrying farm equipment from Brazil.
According to Italian officials, this is the largest drug seizure in Italy in 15 years. These officials believe that the cocaine came from Colombian drug cartels. Really? I don’t think mafia has to be involved in this necessarily. It’s totes normal for an everyday Joe to send 2,200 pounds of coke overseas, no?
