Former Access Hollywood anchor Nancy O'Dell will move into the Substitute Co-Anchor and Special Correspondent position onEntertainment Tonight starting in January 2011. O'Dell will take over as Co-Anchor on the show after longtime Co-Anchor Mary Hart ends her final season in 2011. Hart, who has been Anchor on Entertainment Tonight since 1982, announced last August this will be her last season on the show produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Mark Steines is also a Co-Anchor for the daily syndicated newsmagazine show.
BIO Channel continues its I Survived . . . franchise with a new one-hour series, I Survived ... Beyond and Back opening December 5 at 10p. During six episodes, the series documents stories of real people who have been pronounced dead for a few seconds and others for up to an hour and their extraordinary stories of passing to the other side.
Travel Channel launches a new weekly, one-hour series When Vacations Attack! exploring how perfectly planned travel adventures can turn into nightmares. When Vacations Attack! premieres November 28 at 8p.
The Style Network picked up the makeover series Plastic Makes Perfect, a half-hour series that puts beauty myths about physical perfection to the test. The Style Network debuts the series this Saturday at 3p.
