I recently covered a news article discussing who would be the first woman in the US to give birth in 2011. While it’s cool to be given that honor, I personally think the following story is much, much cooler.
A couple in Machesney Park, Illinois welcomed their new daughter to the word in the last minute of 2010 – and her twin son in the first minute of 2011. How awesome is that?? Ashley Fansler gave birth to Madisen Carin Lewis at 11:59pm and Aiden Everette Lewis at 12:00am. Though Fansler wasn’t due until the end of January, doctors scheduled a c-section for Friday evening to avoid complications. It is unknown whether this timing was a coincidence or planned.
In any event, still a pretty great story for the family!
