Soon after retiring from NBC News' Today in June, Meredith Vieira takes on a new role as special correspondent for the network's upcoming primetime newsmagazine show, Rock Center with Brian Williams. Vieira will contribute reporting for the weekly show in addition to reporting for Today, NBC Nightly News and other NBC News programs as well as contribute to special network programming such as the 2012 London Olympic Games.
