Just a quick thought here...My Macbook has been acting a fool ever since I bought and installed Snow Leopard. It's been extremely slow and very "old PC-like" - you know, when the shifting between open windows and loading of webpages takes forevvvvvver?
I called Apple to get some support and guess what? They CHARGE for that! You can't get anyone on the phone from tech support unless you agree to pay the $44.99 or whatever it is. How ridiculous is that??
