American Idol 8 - Top 3 sends one home

So here we are - the moment before the moment we're waiting for -- when the top three become the top two.
The show begins with comedians plugging for their movie and it's actually quite funny - though I'm not sure why Ben Stiller has jaundice. Let's get it on, people!!! There were over 88 million votes last night, so either America is obsessed with this show, as well they should be, or there were a significant amount of people mistakenly making phone calls from their rears. Ryan tells us that if we think we know what's up - we really don't, and there were only 1 million votes separating the top 2. To me, that means the person who came in third, like - REALLY came in third, with a significantly lower number of votes.
Here is Alicia Keys to explain more about a program that's part of Idol Gives Back. Looking stunning as always, Alicia introduces us to Noah, an African boy who learned an English song in a week! He's a cutie patootie - a mini-Kanye, perhaps, who not only sings, but does a jig in the middle! Love him. Anyway, thanks for that PSA, Keys.
Ryan calls Danny Gokey up to the stage first. Since FOX has been throwing me for a loop the past few weeks, I can't figure out HOW they're going to break the news! Sidebar: why aren't they doing a group song?? As I watch footage from Danny in his hometown of Milwaukee, I'm not entirely sure why there are girls who are reacting like they've just seen Justin Timberlake. Come to think of it, the whole situation is insane. I really don't think that someone from Fair Lawn would get this big of a reaction. Everyone is too busy at JJ's or the Dutch - and there woudln't be such a parade...As you can see, most of his fans are young females and the parents they dragged along. DIMMING THE LIGHTS: The fact that they brought out Danny, makes me think he's safe and it will be between Kris and Adam? Eeeek!! I'm scared. Ahhhhh - ok, Danny sits on the couch and the results are delayed some more.

Kris is up now!! He's SOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!! His hometown of Conway, Arkansas Kris Allens' fan base is actually younger than Gokey's if that's at all possible. Dude, the hug with Kris Allen and his dad - forget it, I have tears streaming down my face right now. Also, I don't find his wife attractive or pleasant lookign at all. I'm actually mad he's married. DIMMING THE LIGHTS: The fact that he's second -- will he be SAFE???? And between Adam and Danny???? VOTES are in and ....sigh....NOTHING. Take a seat on the couch near Danny. Douche.

Why is Jordan Sparks hot? She looks gorgeous! She looks like a cross between Danielle Franco and Beyonce. Great performance, but I'm not gonna get into the song.

Aaaaaaand we're back! Adam Lambert is up on stage, with the most decibals of noise coming from the audience. We're going to San Diego, where there's a wider variety of fans. The young, the old and the older. SD definitely wins for biggest celebration. A girl actually ran up on stage in just a bra. Apparently she doesn't know that he's gay.
