Puff Puff Pass

Here's the thing: I've been hearing a lot of people complaining recently about smoker breaks. So much so, that I've decided to write about it. Non-smokers have issues with smokers going outside to do there business, thereby having a 5-7 minute break from their workload. Generally, the average amount of times a smoker goes outside during the day is anywhere from 5-7 times. (What are the odds?) Mathematically speaking, this is equivalent to what's allowed by law. As New York State law permits, an employee is entitled to two 15-minute breaks in addition to a one hour lunch per day. Personally, I don't take an hour lunch - but I will go outside from time to time. MY sporadic breaks are equivalent to two 15-minute breaks...so what's the deal, haters? If you're really upset that people go outside to smoke - that's only because they have something to do during breaktime. You can just as well go outside and walk around the block should you want to escape your desk. There's no point in having ill-feelings towards smokers. Like, you can take a break, too.
And those, are my thoughts.
