Digi-TimeZ and TV TimeZ and Casting CallZ, OH MY!

Capitalizing on Facebook's growing influence as a news reading platform, MSNBC Digital Network launched a new Breaking News Facebook page aggregating headlines from multiple sources.

After push from a grass-roots fan campaign, NBC confirmed veteran TV actress Betty White, 88, will host Saturday Night Live on May 8. During this episode, which also falls on Mother's Day weekend, six SNL alumnae will reunite including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Rachel Dratch, Maya Rudolph and Ana Gasteyer.

Former NBC's Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien announced yesterday he will launch a live 30-city comedy/music tour titled Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour beginning April 12. The two-month tour will commence in Eugene, OR and will include O'Brien's longtime sidekick Andy Richter and the former Tonight Show band. According to promoters of O'Brien's tour, the show "promises to be a night of music, comedy, hugging and the occasional awkward silence."

Casting Call: Bonanza Productions Inc. is hosting an open casting call seeking physically-challenged boys aged 10-13 who use a wheelchair to play an 11-year old character in a new 30m comedy pilot created by and starring Paul Reiser (Mad About You) for NBC. The character is described as a sweet, funny, intelligent kid who has a positive outlook. He loves sports, music and everyone he meets including adults. He also remembers everything and is very inquisitive, though he can also become anxious and obsessive about things. The character has also used a wheelchair since birth, so the casting agents are only looking for boys who use a wheelchair. The online search is now open and continues through March 19, 2010. Production for the pilot will take place in Los Angeles over one week, starting April 7. For more information or to submit, visit www.tvpilotcastingcall.com.
