TV TimeZ with a TwiZt and Casting CallZ

So there’s some good news and bad news coming out of HBO-Land.  I always like bad news first, so here goes it:  Entourage will END next summer.  Apparently, HBO plans on ordering about six episodes for Summer 2011 and put the show to bed.  Although I can always watch me some Entourage, I do think that it’s sort of ridiculous at this point.  It’s the same trials and tribulations every season and doesn’t really have any substance to it.  I’m sad to see it go and really wonder what the cast will do without it.  Good News: Boardwalk Empire, produced by Martin Scorsese begins on September 19!  I cannot WAIT for this show.  I think it’s going to be a really big hit and last a very long time – sort of like Sopranos.  We shall see.

In a new half-hour series this fall, TLC explores the rarely seen world of plural families as Sister Wives premieres on September 26 at 10p. The series introduces viewers to a husband with multiple wives and their combined 13 children as they attempt to live in a world that shuns their chosen lifestyle. Each episode reveals the inner relationships of a polygamist household and the unexpected closeness between the wives.  If you know me, you know that I like anything and everything Polygamy.  I don’t know why – it’s not like I would like that lifestyle – but just something about it fascinates me.  I’m very excited for this show to start!  Will anyone else plan to watch?

MTV additionally announced a new cast mate is on board its series Jersey Shore as Snooki's long time friend, Deena Nicole Cortese has joined the series currently in production in Seaside Heights, NJ.

Investigation Discovery has two half-hour reality competition series set in prisons in development: one is tentatively titled Talent Behind Bars, a talent-based competition series from producer Mark Burnett described as similar to FOX's American Idol. The show will feature people who have been convicted of non-violent crimes giving them a chance to show off their talent and maybe get a break in life. Investigation Discovery has a new development deal with Mark Burnett. The second half-hour series, Dancing Behind Bars, is like ABC's Dancing with the Stars featuring the dancing moves of inmates.
