Brighton Beach – a better version of Jersey Shore

OMG OMG OMG! I’m so so so excited!  It’s the little things, right?  If you recall, there was a casting call for a new show to be produced, Brighton Beach.  Well, bitches – the time is here!   Lifetime Network picked up the show  - and here’s what we know:

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network ordered 12 episodes of “Brighton Beach” also dubbed the “Russian Jersey Shore.” The show will feature and follow a group of Russian-Americans (holler!) living on Coney Island in Brooklyn.

The major difference between this show and Jersey Shore is that “Brighton” concentrates more on families, complete with a multigenerational cast.  Complete with “colorful” families, the show’s action will be centered around a popular local nightclub.  Hmmm….. Tatyana's??!?!?!?!

Producer Elina Miller pitched the show back in March to networks stating: “We are big fans of ‘Jersey Shore',’ but the Russian community has its own set of characters which we think could be even more interesting. There will be plenty of vodka, techno music and guys wearing Adidas pants, leather jackets and gold chains, and driving souped-up cars.  There will also be a lot of hot, decked-out Russian girls.”

It’s being launched next year sometime.  Don’t worry, I will be blogging.  Duh.
