When President Obama delivered his live speech relating the news that US military forces killed Osama bin Laden last Sunday night, Nielsenreports the sum of the average audience totaled 56.5 million viewers. President Obama's address was carried live from about 1135p-1144p on nine networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, CNN, FOX News Channel, HLN and MSNBC.
