TV TimeZ and Casting CallZ

Frances Berwick, President of Bravo Media said yesterday the network will proceed with its September 5 premiere date for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  This decision comes following the suicide of cast member Russell Armstrong.  In light of the tragedy, the network is partnering with the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) to raise awareness about suicide prevention by airing several PSAs during the show and offering sources and links including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline via Bravo.tv.

Investigation Discovery welcomes one new series to its fall schedule and has set premiere dates for eight returning series:

  • Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda is a new investigative series looking at murder cases through the perspective of experienced retired detective, Lt. Joe Kenda.  Series premieres October 25 at 10p. 
  • Twisted - Season three opens September 23 at 10p.
  • I (Almost) Got Away With It - Season four debuts October 6 at 10p.
  • Cold Blood - Season three premieres October 11 at 9p.
  • The Will: Family Secrets Revealed - Season two opens October 19 at 9p.
  • Devil You Know - Season two is back starting October 19 at 10p.
  • On the Case with Paula Zahn - A fifth season debuts October 23 at 10p.
  • Disappeared - Season four rejoins the lineup October 24 at 10p.
  • Facing Evil - Season two premieres November 25 at 10p.

Throughout the fall, DIY Network launches six new series for its programming lineup:

  • I Hate My Bath is a 13-episode half-hour series hosted by licensed contractor and carpenter, Jeff Devlin.  Premieres September 13 at 1030p; airs Tuesdays at 1030p.
  • The Adam Carolla Project is a 10-episode half-hour series hosted by comedian and former construction worker Adam Carolla as he buys his childhood home and attempts to make it over into a million dollar house in 13 weeks.  Debuts October 8 at 10p; airs Saturdays at 8p.
  • Kitchen Crashers is a 13-episode half-hour series hosted by interior designer, Alison Victoria.  Premieres October 10 at 930p; airs Mondays at 930p.
  • Brothers On Call is a 13-episode half-hour series hosted by real-life brothers and licensed contractors Terry Wittmaack and Jon Wittmaack who run a remodeling company.  Opens October 16 at 9p; airs Sundays at 9p.
  • Million Dollar Contractor is a 13-episode half-hour series hosted by licensed contractor Stephen Fanuka.  Debuts October 16 at 10p; airs Sundays at 10p.
  • I Want That is a 13-episode half-hour series featuring the latest building products.  Premieres November 30 at 830p; airs Wednesdays at 830p

The CW's fourth season of 90210 adds Chris McKenna in the multi-episode role as Patrick, a rich powerful guy who exudes charm and falls for Annie (Shenae Grimes).  Also new to 90201 for the upcoming season is Tiffany Hines, per THR, in a recurring role as a police officer named Kat.  Hines most recently appeared on The CW's Nikita last season.
